Lāhainā is called the “Art Capital of the Pacific” because it is home to more art galleries per capita than any other town in the United States. LGBT and Friends Hike | Makamakaole Stream 13 Crossings, (MAUI) | Saturday, March 12, 8:30 a.m.
Meet members of the Maui LGBT community and friends at 8:30 a.m. at the Starbucks parking lot at the Queen Kaahumanu Mall, from where hikers will carpool to The Makamakaole Stream, which runs down the north slope of West Maui. The hike got its nickname, “13 Crossings,” because that is the number of times the trail crosses the stream through a bamboo forest before ending at a waterfall.
